EMPATHY BEFORE EDUCATION - A 4-hour NVC workshop for teachers
Friday August 8th 2008

10am -2:30pm
NVC Practitioner, Mercedes Frace, facilitates this 2.5 hour teacher's playshop where you will gain basic skills in NVC working.  Bring your challenges (the parents, the student, the co-workers) and we will role play some of these shared experiences using Rosenberg's Compassionate Communication.
PEACenter inside Friends MeetingHouse 3139 57th St., Sarasota   - A portion of the fee is directed to PEAC.     
We will have lunch together at noon...bring your brown bag lunch.

- Two consecutive Saturdays (6/21 & 6/28) - NVC is the theme for an Advanced AVP training @ USF in Tampa.  Alternatives to Violent Project (AVP) is longtime community building and peacework that is taught in prisons...originated by Quakers.   Mercedes Frace will co-facilitate the NVC portions of these trainings.

Ray Williamson and Lore Eargle facilitate an NVC practice group on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month from 1:00-3:00 pm at the
Unitarian Universalists Clearwater (in the Social Hall)
2470 Nursery Rd. Clearwater 
(Look for them in the Patio Room or Emerson Room.)
This group is open for participation to those who have some prior NVC experience.  If your brand new to NVC we request that you allow us to give you a brief individual orientation prior to joining the group.

Location varies but is ofen in North Dade.  Reading "Nonviolent Communication:  A Language of Life" by Rosenberg is suggested but not required.
